Legally, Sui Generis means: "Of its own kind".

 

The creation of our project was based on the fact that there are associations of legal professionals, associations of academics, and student associations, but no transversal association.

 

Sui Generis doesn't fit into any known category and imposes itself as a unique and innovative approach, which explains its name.

 

The Sui Generis Association was born from the desire to create a united network between students, law professionals and academic researchers.

 

The Association aims to support the knowledge and mastery of legal sciences; to support the practice of legal sciences; to support exchange forums and mutual aid between students; to support meetings between students and the professional world; to support the development of civic initiatives; to support the actions of national or international partners who have similar objectives in mind.

 

In order to do so, the association has initiated the project to support the knowledge, the diffusion and the mastery of legal sciences. This is how, since it was founded in September 2014, the association has been able to initiate events such as conferences with the "Rencontres Sui Generis" , the publication of the Revue Sui Generis or the Pro Milone moot court competition
